Your recipe library
That recipe? You remember it so well.
You just don't know where it is.
Your best recipes are asleep in your Instagram saves, your screenshots and your open tabs. Nyama brings them all into one place. Yours.
An iPhone app. Free to start, no card required.

The real problem
It's 7 p.m.
Last Tuesday you came across the perfect recipe. Thirty seconds of video, a dish that made you hungry on the spot. You saved it, thinking «that one, I'm making it».
Tonight you scroll your saved posts for eight minutes. You move on to your screenshots. You open three tabs. It's in there somewhere, you know it. You can't find it.
You order in.
The problem was never finding recipes.
The problem is finding them again.
How it works
Three moves, and nothing gets lost
Capture, organise, cook. Everything else in Nyama exists to serve those three.
Share it. It's filed.
A TikTok video, an Instagram post, a blog that never ends, a photo of a cookbook page, a message your mother sent you. You share it to Nyama, and the recipe comes out clean: ingredients on one side, steps on the other.
You didn't retype a thing. It takes seconds.
- From the «Share» button in any app
- A photo of a book or a card: the text is read for you
- A pasted link, pasted text, or by hand if you prefer
- You read it over, fix whatever you like, and save
In three years, it'll still be there.
Every recipe joins your library, with its tags and its collections. You search «lemon chicken», you find it. No feed, no algorithm, none of other people's recipes.
Only yours. Filed the way you file things.
- A search that digs through titles and ingredients alike
- Recipe books: «quick ones», «for having people over», «what the kids will actually eat»
- Filters by mealtime, by time, by mood
- Your recipes stay on your phone, readable even with no signal
Hands covered in flour, the screen keeping up.
Cook mode shows one step at a time, large, and the screen doesn't go dark at the worst moment. You tick off ingredients as you go. You never lose your place again.
Cooking goes back to being the good part, not an obstacle course.
- One step per screen, in large type
- The ingredients for that step right in front of you
- The screen stays on for the whole cook
- Quantities adjust to how many you're feeding
And then
What turns a library into dinner
A well-filed recipe is good. A week of meals already decided is better.
Shopping list
Your recipes become a list sorted by aisle, quantities added up. You tick items off one-handed at the shop.
The week, decided
You drop your meals onto the days ahead. On Tuesday evening you stop opening the fridge hoping for an idea. And when the time comes, the reminder rings at mealtime and opens the recipe.
Send a recipe
You send a link, it opens with nothing to install. If they like it, they add it to their own library in one tap.
What you don't eat
You declare your allergies and your diet once. A recipe containing an allergen is flagged, before you cook it.
Adapt a recipe
Dairy-free, for six instead of four, a little lighter. The recipe rewrites itself, the original doesn't move. With Nyama Plus.
Calories
What's actually on your plate, estimated for you. No calculator, nothing to retype. With Nyama Plus.
On your home screen
A widget puts the recipe of the day on your home screen and your lock screen. You touch it, it opens.
Offline
Your recipes live on your phone. In a kitchen with no signal, at your parents', on holiday: they're there.
Honest about its mistakes
When the automatic reading isn't sure of itself, Nyama tells you instead of pretending. Two taps and it's fixed.
To be clear
What Nyama is not
One more social network
A recipe website
An algorithm deciding your dinner
A feed where people post their food
A place that sells you ingredients
An app that sells your data
Nyama is a personal library.
It's nobody's business but yours.
Questions
What people ask us
Does it work with all my sources?
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and its Shorts, Facebook, Pinterest, cooking sites and blogs, a photo of a cookbook page, pasted text, a note or a message: Nyama reads what's written and files it away. And when the recipe is written nowhere — when it only exists spoken in the video — Nyama listens to it and reconstructs it. If it isn't sure, it tells you rather than inventing.
What if the recipe comes out wrong?
Nyama flags the parts it isn't sure about instead of acting as if nothing happened. You read it over, fix it in two taps, and save. A wrong recipe in your library is worse than a missing one.
Do my recipes go to a server?
Your recipes live on your phone. What does go to a server, and only in those cases, is spelled out in the privacy policy. No selling your data, no advertising.
Do I have to create an account?
It does one thing: it keeps your recipes when a phone breaks or gets replaced. So yes, at the end of the walkthrough — with Apple or Google, in a few seconds, no password to remember. You can delete your account and everything in it from the app, without writing to us.
Is it available on Android?
Not yet. Nyama is starting on iPhone. Android will follow if enough people ask for it.
What happens if I stop Nyama Plus?
You keep every recipe. You simply fall back on the free allowance for whatever you add next: 5 recipes a week, topped up every Monday. Nothing is deleted.
